At the end of September, Peter Lynn team rider, Matteo Dorotini visited Sardinia. He was attending the Extreme Fun Games in San Teodoro to support Peter Lynn’s presence at the event. A great opportunity to meet up with some of his friends and team mates who had also converged on the little seaside town.
Sardinian summers tend to linger on a little, with plenty beach time still there for the taking in this idyllic spot.
Getting in a couple of days before the event meant that Matteo scored an amazing flat water session at “La Cinta” beach. The wind was gusty off shore, but the water conditions more than made up for it! Riding warm, flat, azures and blues, under a clear blue sky with a bunch of friends was the perfect way to end the summer.
"Off shore" conditions requires you to have boat rescue available in case something goes wrong. It was kindly supplied by Wetdreams kite school "Off shore" also means that the spot is uncrowded which is not always the case with other wind directions. It made the session extra special.
It was Matteo’s first outing on the Escape V5. It was love at first flight! Immediately feeling like he had been riding this kite all summer long, it was hard to wrestle it away from him as the sun set.
The next few days were filled with loads of fun but sadly very erratic winds. Thankfully Matteo got his fix the day before with as many kiting hours in the water as the sun allowed.
Enjoy the short little clip of this up and coming Italian rider.
