At Peter Lynn we believe performance should not be measured in speed or raw power alone.
Performance is about responsiveness, precision, handling balance and most importantly; the riders experience. This is why we work tirelessly on perfecting our designs to match our heritage of class leading design, ease of use, assured stability and sophisticated craftsmanship.
Developed upon the backbone of the Vapor, the most successful fixed bridle racekite of the last decade. And built with only high-end, ultra-light materials and the latest construction methods. The Aero is designed for uncompromised racing performance but also to offer you ease of use and stability to put a smile on your face whenever you pull the bar to leave everything and everyone behind.
At the same time it is created to get you going in the lightest of breezes because there are few things in life that make your daily troubles disappear like the peaceful mellow of a light wind session. Be it cruising desolate beaches, riding snow covered hills or foiling glass lagoons.
Let the Aero be your ticket to sessions never before possible and enjoy the tranquillity of riding in the lowest winds and maximize the time you can spend out there doing what you love most.
The Aero is available in standard light fabric and in Ultra Light Skytex.
ULTRA LIGHT VERSION
The Aero is also available as Ultra light, for this version we took weight reduction to a whole new level by using a clever combination of 2×2 types of SkytexTM Fabric. The top skin of the kite is made from 32gr Skytex to give it some extra strength while the bottom skin is 27gr Skytex to reduce the weight to an absolute minimum. For the internal construction we used 32gr hard coated Skytex for the supporting ribs (Ribs with bridle points)and 27gr hard coated Skytex for the unsupported ribs. The wingtips are made from 32gr Skytex on both the top and bottom skin as the tips normally get to endure the most abrasion.
Fully depowered on the bar and cleat, almost only supported by the A bridles the
kite stays in shape and in the air. This stability allows the kite to gently drift along
during those long and smooth downwind turns.
Go fast, fast.
Focussed and poised to get your adrenalin pumping the Aero responds
immediately to your steering impulse with a ferociously fast build-up of flying speed.
Making it easy to get on your board and up to speed quick.
Highly stable throughout the wind range
Whatever you ride, you want your focus to be on the ride ahead without having to
worry about your kite. The Aero has a very wide wind window and remains highly
stable at the edges. Coupled with our core value of ease of use the Aero crosses
the divide between high performance racing and leisurely cruising.
The Aero delivers its power smooth and controlled
The power of the kite is precisely regulated by pulling the bar, the more you pull
the bar, the more power it delivers. From that little bit extra you need to switch
stance while tacking or gibing to an explosive boost for some serious hangtime.
This dynamic and responsive power regulation allows you to push speed and
downwind angle to endlessly addictive levels.
Uncompromised racing performance, stability and ease of use
Individual designed sizes
High Aspect Ratio, high cell count
Highly balanced material use
Highly responsive and direct steering
The Aero is water re-launchable. Its closed cell construction and coated UL fabrics keep water out and the air in. It is recommended to practice this in shallow water before venturing deeper. Better still would be to keep it in the air at all times! Do not use in waves.
Flag out safety
To guarantee your safety the Aero features the proven and trusted industry standard flag out system. It is recommended to check bridle lines, pulleys and the speed system for possible tangles before re-launching.
Care for materials
Like any performance specific gear it is built out of extremely light weight materials which are more prone to damaging and/or stretching. While we have chosen only the highest quality materials it is still necessary to carefully maintain the kite, special attention should be paid to the bridling and speed system.
Advanced skill requirement
The Aero is an easy to use high performance foil, it does however require insight on how to fly these types of kites to prevent potentially dangerous situations. Even if you have the skills required, do not fly in weather conditions that are unpredictable or dangerous, like offshore winds and/or (thunder)storms.
